After going on a horrifying killing spree that left six dead and 13 injured, Elliot Rodger took his own life, by shooting himself while sitting behind the wheel of his BMW, authorities can now confirm...
Elliot, a former student of Santa Barbara City College crashed his car following the killings and was pulled out of his BMW by police. He had a gunshot wound in his head. “It would appear he took his own life.” Sheriff Bill Brown told CNN.
In April, police had arrived to Elliot’s home after family members were concerned about his mental health — but they left after determining he was okay. In a 141-page manifesto titled, My Twisted World, he explained that if they had come in, they would have found his notes and weapons. Then, on May 22, he detailed his killing plans in a disturbing YouTube “Retribution” video – which he took from behind the wheel of a car.
He followed through with his plans — first stabbing three men in his home, then shooting three women (killing two) outside of the Alpha Phi sorority house, which he tried getting into but no one answered his knocking. He then drove to IV Deli Mart and shot a man there, before swerving all over the streets, hitting a bicyclist and shooting at pedestrians.
